ABOUT OUR TARGET MARKET OUTSIDE OUR OWN CLIENTS
The Metropolis Reporting System has taken thousands of hours to create. Despite this, our business plan is to make the system available to all strata search businesses in New South Wales and Queensland.
We plan to implement this through a licensing arrangement. We will offer our reporting template together with the contents of all toolkits and details of our accredited experts to all current strata search businesses. We propose that they will in return pay a monthly fee to use our reporting system.
Training courses will be made available to train searchers employed by the inspection businesses. They will be taught to understand, identify and explain buyer relevant concepts, and provide high quality risk assessment reports to buyers using the system.
Approaches to registered training organisations and government are being prepared to provide and accredit these courses. Once a strata searcher has successfully completed an accredited course, it is proposed they will go from being a strata searcher to becoming a strata inspector.
The license fee paid by strata inspection businesses will also include a component for advertising. A website will contain a list of Metropolis accredited inspection businesses. That means for example, buyers and/or their advisers can select local Metropolis inspectors.
To those lawyers and conveyancers reading this article, we encourage you to talk with the strata inspection businesses you currently use, and ask them to contact us about obtaining a license to use our reporting system.
